Dianabol, or as it is fondly called, Dbal, is the first anabolic steroid ever developed after methyl-testosterone, which is practically the oral version of testosterone. It's known as a highly effective mass and strength builder. Even when used wisely, it's quite a versatile steroid. In this review, we'll explore all of this steroid's potential.

Chemical Structure

Chemically, Dianabol differs from its progenitor, testosterone, in two locations. For the chemistry nerds, I'll explain that the testosterone molecule contains a "skeleton" of 19 carbons that creates three hexagons and one pentagon next to each other, as shown below next to the testosterone molecule.

Testosterone vs. Methandrostenolone

In D Ball, a methyl group was added in the 17th carbon position, which enables resistance against degradation in the liver. Thus, unlike testosterone, D Ball is orally active. In addition, between the 1st and 2nd carbon, instead of a regular bond between the carbons in the testosterone, a double bond was created in the methandrostenolone. This alters the physiological effects of the steroid and enables it to be more active on muscle tissue and less active in androgenic tissues such as the prostate. This is how Dianabol got its renowned name - D Anabol - as an anabolic agent.

Usage and Effectiveness

Dianabol works very effectively by itself, and you may refer to other Dianabol products to see how to use it by itself in a cycle. However, it excels when paired with other steroids. Dianabol, by its nature and due to its short half-life of about 4 hours, has a fast-acting effect. Hence, logically, it combines well with fast-acting steroids such as testosterone propionate in a cycle:

Estrogenic side Effects and Monitoring

Due to its molecular structure, D Ball may be converted to estrogen. Hence, estrogen levels should be monitored. Usually, a dosage below 30mg/day won't cause harsh estrogenic side effects, but for more sensitive individuals, Arimidex at 0.25mg every other day will do the trick.
